Position Overview

We are seeking skilled EHS coordinator based out of our Hillsboro, Oregon location. As a EHS Coordinator, you will provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of Workplace Health & Safety Programs. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, incident reporting and analysis, and work closely with managers and engineers to develop and implement corrective actions preventing recurrence. With the committed support of Lexas Management and our Customers, the EHS coordinator facilitates promoting a culture focused on safety and injury prevention environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position with complete benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve EHS performance by promoting an incident-free workplace, identifying and mitigating safety risks and implementing safety programs.
  • Development and implementation of programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local occupational safety standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage initiatives that ensure safety, health, and environmental KPIs are met.
  • Conduct compliance audits and guide teams with implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Delivers required EHS training, conduct routine audits to ensure EHS objectives and strategies are working.
  • Conduct risk assessments such as hazard assessments, ergonomic assessments, etc. as needed to reduce workplace injuries.
  • Assist with safety incident investigations, work with key stakeholders to develop root cause analysis, and identify corrective actions.
  • Support Hazardous Substances Management Program (new chemical approval, SDS updates, quarterly audits, exposure calculations, in-house hazardous chemical container labeling).
  • Monitoring RMBWA.
  • Performing LOTO audits.
  • Project coordination implementation of actions which drive continuous improvement. Verify the appropriateness and effectiveness of action plans associated with incidents and/or audit findings.
  • Lead projects to improve EHS performance
  • Trainer on EHS topics including respiratory training and fit testing.
  • Go-to person for field service engineers regarding workplace EHS.
  • Data collection and analysis.
  • Routine internal reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates).
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize under dynamic conditions.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or varied shifts to ensure safety coverage as needed.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer-facing communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid organizational and project-management capabilities
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and travel domestically as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of work experience as an Environmental, Health and Safety professional.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Advanced applied knowledge of health and safety programs including RMBWA observations, LOTO, Electrical Safety, Working at Heights, Hazard Communication, Crane and Hoist, Confined Space, Walking and Working Surfaces, Hazardous and Highly Toxic Gases, etc.
  • Ability to assess and audit various workplace environments for potential hazards and effect corrective action.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments is a plus

Travel & Training

  • Ongoing domestic travel (approximately 15%)
