This is a full-time, on-site role located in Shelton, CT, for the position of Director of Quality. The Director of Quality will be responsible for managing quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with standards across all manufacturing facilities. This includes developing and implementing quality management systems, maintaining certifications, supervising quality control processes, and leading a team of quality professionals. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure products meet safety, durability, and customer satisfaction standards. The Director of Quality will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance product performance.
- Strong expertise in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and process improvements
- Experience with ISO 9001:2008 and/or AS9100 standards and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and quality metrics
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development lifecycle
- Familiarity with safety standards and lean manufacturing principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus
- Prior experience in industries such as power systems, energy storage, or industrial manufacturing is highly desirable
