Role Description The Accounting Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lakeland, FL. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely journal entries. The Accounting Manager will maintain and track fixed assets, monitor cash flow, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. Additional responsibilities include reconciling accounts, supporting audits, implementing internal controls, and providing financial analysis to inform management decisions. The role also involves collaborating with project and operations teams to ensure proper cost tracking and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Statements and Finance for accurate reporting and decision support.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management.
- Candidates should possess experience with Fixed Assets, including tracking, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Expertise using Quickbooks and OneDrive
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- Experience in construction or project-based accounting is beneficial.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders and work collaboratively on-site.
