Head Jr. High Girls Volleyball Coach

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to lead the junior high girls volleyball program at Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School for the inaugural fall 2026 season. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the sport and committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position will focus on developing players' skills, promoting teamwork, and enhancing their overall experience in the sport of volleyball.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
• Develop and implement a competitive schedule for the junior high girls volleyball team.
• Coach the team during games and tournaments, providing guidance and support to players.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and progress.
• Monitor and assess player performance, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure alignment with the school’s athletic program and values.
• Promote the importance of academics and encourage players to maintain a balance between sports and schoolwork.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and sports regulations.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the junior high or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with players, parents, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for youth sports and a commitment to the development of student-athletes.
