Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Transport Driver and become the vital link that keeps the appointment schedule moving smoothly! In this role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting Residents to and from appointments and hospitals. This job does include some on-call time for over nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate facility vehicles.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, lights, and other essential systems.
- Deliver goods or passengers promptly while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning the interior/exterior and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, residents and their representatives to coordinate schedules and address any route changes or concerns.
Requirements
- Driving experience with good driving record.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license).
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading/unloading cargo or assisting passengers with mobility needs.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with driving different vehicle types
- Experience assisting residents with personal needs while on trips is a plus.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
