What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Events Facilitator position at Lewis and Clark Community College and Careers?
Scope of Position
Provide support and customer service to facility rental clients to insure successful events. Operate audio visual and multimedia equipment for events, and work with maintenance, custodial, campus safety, onsite catering services and other campus departments to meet clients’ needs.
Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs)
- Maintain focus on customer service and ensuring a positive experience for clients.
- Operate or assist with the operation, connection, and adjustment of microphones, lights, computer projection systems, sound systems, screens, and various other multimedia, audiovisual and lighting equipment during events.
- Maintain equipment in good working order and report equipment malfunctions.
- Monitor the venue and surrounding area for cleanliness, temperature control, and other issues related to the facility informing College team members of any equipment or facility issues immediately.
- Be the main point of contact during events and work with security, maintenance, custodial and other departments to meet clients’ needs and provide the necessary services for events and activities.
- Work with the Audio Visual Technical/Operator to prepare for activities and ensure that venues and equipment correspond to clients’ contractual agreements.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in operating multimedia, audiovisual, live sound and lighting equipment preferred.
- Basic computer and audio visual equipment troubleshooting preferred.
- Strong customer service background.
- Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Team Members can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $16.15. Please note the position hours are varied and are based off campus events; which may include nights and weekends.
