What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Clerk position at Levy Pruett Carter?
Downtown Decatur law firm seeks detail-oriented billing assistant to work 3-4 days week under supervision of office manager to perform the following AR/AP and data entry tasks:
- Enter all expenses incurred for each case into “My Case” document management system.
- Use “My Case” to prepare monthly invoices for each case reflecting firm fees and expenses incurred on behalf of the client.
- Use various online portals to submit monthly invoices to clients and to file appeals on any charges that clients dispute.
- Pay law firm’s vendors/expenses weekly.
- Photocopy and maintain files of all case expenses in case of disputed charges.
- Perform other duties, such as assisting the front office person, as needed.
Must demonstrate great attention to detail and be able to maintain focus in the face of competing priorities. Prior legal billing experience required.
