The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work at our Levy Big River Steel Mill Services location in Osceola, AR. The Safety Coordinator performs clerical and administrative responsibilities supporting the division’s safety programs.
Pay: $22 - $27/hr
Shift/Schedule: Days - Mon.-Fri.

Responsibilities
The Safety Coordinator will:
- Assist with the implementation of safety and environmental policies, regulations and programs
- Assist with the development of safety and environmental training
- Provide and/or facilitates required safety and environmental training
- Conduct site inspections with manager
- Develop worksite safety topics for safety meetings
- Conduct regulatory compliance audits including monitoring and testing
- Track and monitors risk assessments, observations and emergency drills
- Maintain and monitors compliance and training records
- Assist with incident investigation and remediation of environmental incidents including spills
- Order and maintains PPE
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Safety related experience or internship
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA standards
- Knowledge of any local or state required safety standards
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Ability to travel
- High School diploma required Degree preferred

Experience:
- EHS: 1 year (Preferred)
