What You’ll Do
As an Operator, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality cable products by:
- Operating extrusion machines, let-off/take-up equipment, or machines on our Twist, Cable, and Braid lines.
- Performing quality checks and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Keeping equipment clean and running smoothly.
- Collaborating with a supportive team in a modern manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred (but not required for some roles!)
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees
- Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn
- Eye and foot protection may have to be worn
- There is potential for lifting weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis
- There is potential exposure to extreme temperatures
- The occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination
- May stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
