About The Role
The Bookkeeper provides hands-on support to the accounting function, assisting with day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional seeking to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, including bills, invoices, and receipts, in QuickBooks
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Support bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in compliance with company procedures
- Assist with month end close activities and financial reporting preparation
- Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files
- Support internal departments with accounting-related questions or documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers and vendors regarding invoices and payments
- Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting operations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred, training available
