About the role
This position is responsible for operating industrial production machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner including inspection and packaging of product and maintaining materials on the production line.
Responsibilities
Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures
Performs inspection and packing of wall plates as directed while following related work instructions
Documents production and other information where applicable
Places identification into each container of parts or finished goods unless alternate method has been established
Isolates suspect material and alerts technician, quality assurance, and/or supervision in the event of non-conformance
Maintains a clean machine and work area
Relocates any defective parts or assemblies to specified scrap containers
Supports Material Handler position as needed
Attends department stand-up meetings
Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to sorting and rework
Local Essential Functions: West Jefferson
Performs changeovers on packaging machines
Performs simple machine adjustments and light mechanical repair
Replaces product components such as film, barcode ribbon and screws as needed
Performs minor machine adjustments and repairs
Qualifications
Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands, to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds
Ability to successfully complete related on-the-job training program
Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling
Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
