Overview:
Responsible for supporting production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing materials and supplies, ticketing and transporting finished goods. Perform all functions in a safe manner and within quality standards.
Responsibilities:- Performs and documents weigh counts for scrap materials, communicates issues or concerns with Production Lead
- Removes trash from manufacturing areas
- Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested
- Operates material movement equipment as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others, and other equipment
- Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts, and moves empty containers to designated storage areas
- Enters production on finished goods items
- Verifies and maintains product identification and count
- Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions
- Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production, and equipment maintenance
Skills
- Ability to move your hand(s), your hand(s) together with your arm(s), or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Ability to complete a Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization
- Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office at a basic level
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
Physical Requirements
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling
- Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required, significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of 1-year operating motorized material handling equipment experience preferred
- Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred
No travel is anticipated.
