In this role, you will be the bridge between how our product is built and how it is used. In-house, you will help with the testing and automation development of the LeviCell 96 and LeviCell 12 systems as well as integration of our novel magnetic Levitation Arrays with more advanced liquid handling robots. In supporting our customers and collaborators, you will travel to high-end Pharmaceutical customers and academic labs to install these systems, or integrate arrays with 3rd-party liquid handling robots, and ensure our clients are successful.We dont expect you to know everything on day onewe are looking for an engineer with strong problem-solving skills, a working knowledge of liquid handling robotics, and excellent communication skills who is eager to learn, willing to travel, and ready to get their hands dirty.What Youll Do:Custom Integrations: Assist in integrating our hardware with third-party liquid handling robots (e.g., Beckman Coulter, Hamilton, Eppendorf, Tecan). You will help "teach" the robots how to interact with our arrays.Field Installations: Travel to customer sites (including top-tier Pharma companies) to unpack, install, and calibrate systems.Customer Support: Serve as the face of the company during field installations. Troubleshoot hardware issues, run basic test scripts, and ensure the customer is happy before you leave. Support internal customers too, with hardware maintenance, troubleshooting and protocol development.Wet Lab Testing: Perform basic biological checks and QC assays (pipetting, running beads/cells) to verify system performance.Who You Are:The Tinkerer: You are good with your hands. You enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together and solving problems. You are comfortable using basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers) and writing basic scripts for hardware control.The Traveler: You are excited by the opportunity to travel (25-50%) to visit customer labs across the country (and potentially internationally).The Scientist-Engineer: You understand the mechanics of a machine, but you also remember your Cell Biology 101 (you know what a cell is, why viability matters, and how to handle a pipette).The Teammate: You are humble, collaborative, and communicative. Youre ready to roll up your sleeves to help the team hit a deadline.The People Person: You thrive in customer-facing interactions, build trust quickly, and keep everyone aligned through open, thoughtful communication.Required Qualifications:Experience with programming and using automated liquid handling systems.Bachelors degree in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).25 years of experience in a similar role.Valid drivers license and ability to travel on short notice.Bonus Points (Preferred but not required):Experience working in a wet lab environment. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
