Salesforce Architect

We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise Salesforce solutions that drive business success. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across the Salesforce platform. You'll provide technical leadership, guide Agile teams, and determine the right balance of declarative ("clicks") and programmatic ("code") solutions to meet business needs.
As a trusted technical advisor, you'll influence platform strategy, establish development standards, mentor engineering teams, and serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex production issues.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align Salesforce solutions with the organization's technology strategy.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures alongside Product Managers, System Architects, and Technical Managers.
- Own the architecture and solution design across Salesforce Cloud platforms.
- Lead Salesforce governance initiatives by defining and championing coding standards, testing practices, and design best practices.
- Design secure, scalable integrations while considering data privacy, security, and large data volumes.
- Build proof-of-concept solutions to validate new technologies and implementation approaches.
- Support Agile development teams by providing technical guidance and architectural oversight.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to support product roadmaps and long-term platform strategy.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and system designs.
- Recommend platform enhancements and process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct peer reviews and approve technical designs to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes and identify innovative Salesforce solutions.
- Mentor developers and administrators on Salesforce best practices, architecture patterns, and platform capabilities.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Salesforce technical issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution for critical production incidents.
What You'll Bring
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Two or more Salesforce Architect certifications preferred.
Experience
- 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions.
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud preferred.
- Experience with Financial Services Cloud preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, Apex Triggers, SOQL, and Salesforce DX.
- Experience building and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience designing scalable integrations and enterprise architecture.
- Proficiency with Visio or similar architecture and diagramming tools.
Leadership Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and guide development teams.
- Passion for mentoring others and promoting engineering excellence.
