Job Description:
• Policy Development and Compliance
• Create, update, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with
local, state, federal, and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Incorporate customer site-specific safety requirements, rules, tribal knowledge, and best practices
into all documentation, risk assessments, and operational protocols.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify hazards in workplace
environments, equipment, and processes.
• Ensure seamless integration of client-specific standards, on-site tribal knowledge (e.g., critical
unwritten insights from long-term personnel or local teams), and culturally or geographically
unique safety practices.
Risk Management and Inspections:
• Perform on-site inspections, hazard evaluations, and environmental impact assessments.
• Recommend corrective actions, equipment upgrades, or process changes to eliminate or
minimize risks, including those related to ergonomics, chemical handling, and emergency
preparedness.
Training and Education:
• Design and deliver safety training programs for employees on topics such as emergency
procedures, workplace hazards, PPE usage, and incident reporting.
• Track training completion and evaluate program effectiveness through KPIs like incident rates
and employee feedback.
Incident Investigation and Reporting
• Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root
causes.
• Develop preventive measures, maintain detailed records, and prepare reports for regulatory
agencies, management, and insurance purposes.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a
related field.
• Advanced certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist
(CIH), or NEBOSH Diploma are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in health and safety roles.
• Proven track record in high-risk environments (e.g., manufacturing
Work Location: Taylor, TX and Austin TX
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9-6pm
*Client fab experience required 5x in office / client site (Taylor) per week
