Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's development.
- Supervise children at all times while maintaining Washington State licensing standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom.
- Complete daily documentation and communicate with families using Brightwheel.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team and administration.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center is preferred.
- Washington State MERIT account or willingness to create one.
- STARS training completed or willingness to complete required training.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, patient, and passionate about working with young children.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a DCYF background check.
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- Bloodborne Pathogens training (or ability to complete).
- Must meet all Washington State licensing requirements for childcare staff.
