What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026.2027 Emergency Substitute Teacher position at Grandview School District?
- Manage classroom and provide instruction according to lesson plans as prepared by the classroom teacher.
- Provide classroom environment which promotes active learning.
- Assist the teacher with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, lunchroom duty, recess, etc.
- Work with students to help reinforce learning objectives.
- Adhere to all Grandview School board policies and procedures.
- Use appropriate judgment to act in the best interest of students at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Observe and utilize reasonable and professional medical/safety precautions to include positioning children in a safe and secure manner.
- Salary: $175.00 per day / $25.00 per hour
- Substitute position, called in to work as needed.
- Have an AA Degree or Higher from an accredited college or university
