Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Creativity Coordinator/Teacher to inspire and nurture artistic expression among learners of all ages. In this role, you will design engaging curricula, manage vibrant classroom environments, and facilitate a wide range of creative arts activities including visual arts, performing arts, dance, music, theater, culinary arts, sewing, and photography. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles across various creative disciplines such as visual arts, dance, music, theater, culinary arts, sewing, and photography.
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management tailored to different age groups including early childhood and preschool students.
- Lead engaging arts instruction in areas such as choreography, dance instruction (including ballet and dancing), musical instruments, theater performance, and instrumental teaching.
- Facilitate hands-on activities like cooking classes, sewing projects, photography sessions, and culinary experiences that enhance practical skills and artistic expression.
- Work closely with students to support their individual growth in childhood development and special education needs while fostering confidence in their creative abilities.
- Plan and execute youth programs that promote teamwork, self-expression, and artistic exploration through tutoring and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain organized records of lesson plans, student progress, behavior management strategies, and program participation to ensure continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups in educational or recreational settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching visual & performing arts such as dance (including ballet), theater (including choreography), music (including teaching instruments), sewing, photography or culinary arts.
- Strong background in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education or preschool environments.
- Experience managing classrooms effectively with behavior management techniques suited for diverse learners.
- Familiarity with special education practices or working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Prior involvement in youth programs or adult education initiatives related to creative arts instruction is highly desirable.
- Skills in lesson planning for a variety of creative disciplines including dancing, acting, musical performance, cooking or sewing will be considered an asset.
