JOB TITLE: Commercial Custodian

REPORTS TO: Assistant Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining commercial properties to Level Seven Commercial Cleaning standards. Duties include vacuuming, mopping, surface disinfecting, cleaning, dusting, and cleaning services. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to the company’s safety policies and operational procedures.
- Adheres to the company’s service standards.
- Responds to communications sent from management and completes tasks as directed.
- Reports repairs and replacements as needed when encountered during service provision.
- Entrances and Lobby: Entryways swept; door mats shaken out and/or vacuumed cleaned. Smudges removed from the entry door glass. Floors swept and mopped with neutral flooring solution.
- Floors: All carpeted floors vacuumed, all hard surface floors swept and mopped with warm water and neutral floor solution, and restroom floors swept and mopped with mild disinfectant floor solution.
- Restrooms: Fixtures cleaned and sanitized, including counters, sinks, and toilets. Doorknobs and handles will be disinfected. Mirrors cleaned and dry buffed with microfiber cloths. Towels, tissue, and hand soap dispensers re-filled from stock. Restroom floors swept and wet mopped with mild disinfectant floor solution. All product dispensers wiped clean.
- Reception and Employee Break Area: Tables, chairs, and appliances wiped clean, including microwave interiors. Sinks and counters cleaned and thoroughly wiped down. Coffee makers cleaned and wiped down.
- Receptacles: All waste receptacles emptied; liners replaced from stock each day.
- Glass: Smudges removed from all window glass, entry door glass, mirrors, office enclosure glass (if applicable), and from any interior transom windows or other misc. interior glass.
- Dusting: All horizontal surfaces throughout service areas dusted and/or damp-wiped clean, including but not limited to work surfaces, desktops, computer equipment and monitors, printers, phones, miscellaneous furniture and fixtures, picture frames, thermostats, lighting fixtures, filing cabinets, shelving, etc.
SERVICES PERFORMED PERIODICALLY:
- Air grill and returns, as well as restroom exhaust fan grills, wiped clean once per month.
- Baseboards, switch plates, door kick plates, miscellaneous scuffs on walls (e.g. under desks), and other areas susceptible to scuffs and/or hand marks wiped clean once per month.
- Blinds dusted once per quarter (if applicable).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Commercial Cleaning and Disinfecting experience a plus.
- Experience in medical facility cleaning is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds/continually lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Pressure washers, ride-on floor scrubbers, carpet and flooring maintenance equipment, boom/scissor lifts, or golf carts.
