What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care position at Level Permanent Healthcare Placement?
Description:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during shifts
- Meet nursing practice standards and manage assigned patients, supplies, and equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and other departments, delegate nursing activities
- Provide patient care including Foley catheters, NG tubes, ostomy care, blood glucose testing, oxygen therapy, wound care, IV therapy
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions
Education & Certification:
- Registered Nursing degree from an accredited school
- IV certification via approved course
- Required continuing education, competencies, and orientation
Experience:
- 1 year of acute care nursing preferred (on-the-job training available)
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proper body mechanics for lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Motor coordination to operate equipment
- Ability to follow oral/written instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Comfortable working overnight shifts
Technical Proficiency:
- Computer skills required
Schedule: Night Shift; Three 12-hour shifts (7PM-7AM)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Wage: $32.00 – $42.00/hr
- Sign-on bonus: $10,000
