Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on various construction projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Your expertise in concrete work, combined with your ability to interpret technical drawings and follow safety protocols, will contribute significantly to the successful completion of our projects. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting equipment to facilitate efficient pouring and finishing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of concrete forms and layouts.
- Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork according to specifications to support concrete structures.
- Perform concrete pouring, screeding, troweling, and edging to achieve desired finishes and surface textures.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, heavy equipment operators, and other trades to coordinate tasks on-site effectively.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, rebar benders, and concrete cutting equipment.
- Experience with construction estimating and understanding project scope for efficient resource planning.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings related to concrete forming and finishing.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, heavy equipment operation, and safe handling of construction materials.
- Skilled in masonry work including plastering, flooring installation, and renovation projects involving concrete components.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
