Certified Dietary Manager, Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Dietary Manager Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct all aspects of the dietary department.
• Complete required forms, reports, evaluations, and other departmental documentation.
• Train, supervise, and support dietary staff.
• Develop and maintain employee work schedules and oversee departmental staffing.
• Prepare food orders and menu requirements for regular and modified diets.
• Verify food deliveries for accuracy and ensure delivery tickets are signed.
• Conduct monthly inventory and maintain meal census records.
• Monitor meal trays to ensure accuracy and compliance with therapeutic diet requirements.
• Prepare monthly dietary reports.
• Visit residents regularly, attend care plan meetings, and document progress notes as required.
• Supervise food preparation, tray service, and dining room operations.
• Develop and enforce departmental cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Monitor plate waste and resident feedback to evaluate meal quality and acceptability.
• Manage departmental staffing, training, scheduling, performance, and discipline.

Dietary Manager Requirements

• At least two years of Dietary Manager experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current ServSafe certification.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage departmental operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
