Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based in Houston, TX. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in school-based settings. Daily responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering direct therapy, and documenting progress in accordance with clinical and school district guidelines. The role involves collaborating with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to support student goals, participating in IEP meetings, and providing education and strategies to help students generalize skills across environments. The Speech Language Pathologist will maintain ethical, evidence-based practice while contributing to a supportive, child-centered team culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills in Speech Therapy, including assessment and treatment planning.
  • Experience working with Speech and Communication Disorders in pediatric and school-based populations.
  • Knowledge of Language Disorders and evidence-based interventions for language development.
  • Ability to evaluate and manage Dysphagia and related feeding and swallowing concerns (if applicable to caseload).
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or strong commitment to obtaining it.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and school staff.
  • Comfort working in diverse school environments and adapting interventions to individual student needs.
  • Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and non-discriminatory practice.
