Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and individualized attention.
Work Hours: 7:30am -4:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pm
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills, emotional growth, and effective communication.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience with classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
- A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential.
