Purpose for the Position:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s accounting and operational functions during the night shift. This role includes auditing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, providing exceptional guest services, and ensuring a safe and secure environment during overnight hours. The Night Auditor works to ensure a smooth operation and continuity of guest services, maintaining the highest levels of hospitality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial and Accounting Duties:
- Audit and reconcile all daily transactions, including guest accounts, room charges, and other hotel services.
- Process and post room charges, payments, and other revenue transactions accurately.
- Verify and adjust billing discrepancies and correct posting errors.
- Prepare and submit daily cash deposits and reconcile the cash drawer.
- Guest Services:
- Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and resolve issues to maintain positive guest relations.
- Operational Duties:
- Monitor and maintain, with the assistance of our contracted security services the security of the hotel premises during the night shift.
- Perform routine front desk duties, including answering phone calls, managing reservations, and updating guest information.
- Verifies the status of all wake-up call requests and ensures they are properly handled.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest needs and report any issues.
- Function as the Manager on Duty during the nighttime hours.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Complete and distribute daily audit reports to relevant departments.
- Update and maintain accurate records and files.
- Assist in preparing for the next day’s arrivals and departures.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or accounting is a plus.
- Previous experience in front desk operations, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (Opera).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment and handling cash.
