Job Title: Inventory Manager
Location: 101 Pugsley Road, Brewster, NY
Summary
LesserEvil is an innovative, healthy-snacks brand looking to add an Inventory Manager to our growing team. In this position, you’ll work closely with LesserEvil’s cross functional teams to ensure inventory is recorded accurately and reconciled according to company guidelines, including both raw materials and finished goods.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations and is based out of LesserEvil’s Main Shipping Warehouse but will also require time at the company’s other warehouse and production facilities.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is generally 8 AM-4:30 PM, but with the nature of a 24-hour facility, there are times when earlier/later hours and weekends are necessary.
Role/Responsibilities
- Oversight of all daily/weekly/monthly/yearly inventory counts and reconciliations for LesserEvil’s finished goods, across all locations and departments.
- This includes performing counts as designated and working with other members of the team to ensure accuracy on their counts.
- Determining the reason for finished goods inventory discrepancies and working with LesserEvil Management to change processes and procedures to prevent further issues.
- This includes researching what happened when and if incorrect raw materials were picked at the warehouse and sent to the factory.
- Reconciling physical inventory counts and lot codes with NetSuite on a regular schedule.
- This schedule will be created with input from the Inventory Supervisor.
- Working with the cross functional team to ensure inventory is accurate at all times.
- Documenting all related activities and completing forms and reports as requested.
- Recommending improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity.
- Be aware of all inventory numbers - in production, on sales orders, in stock, etc - at all times.
- Analyzing and resolving inventory problems, or assisting team members in solving inventory problems.
- Identifying excess inventory concerns each week and short-dated products for immediate sale.
- Properly track all product on Quality Hold and ensure it has been counted and is segregated correctly
- This includes all tracking from arrival to the Brewster warehouse via internal transfer, up to disposition of the product
- Ensuring FIFO picking method is practiced at all times for both finished goods and raw materials.
- Working with the management team of each shipping facility if FIFO is not being practiced.
- Performing other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated.
- Manage all bin locations in NetSuite and in the Brewster warehouse
- Assist in upcoming ERP changeover for all items and processes inventory related
- Manage a small team across two shifts
- This includes processing payroll weekly
Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 4 years of inventory experience
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to collaborate with different departments
- Proficient with Excel and/or Google Sheets
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT AND Brewster, NY
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, lift, pull.
- Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office will be necessary
