What we need:
We're looking for a friendly and detail-oriented addition to our supply ordering and processing team. An ideal candidate has experience in processing supply orders, whether from external or internal customers. This candidate should be diligent about entering these orders carefully, ensuring that the correct items are ordered, for the correct price, and are sent to the correct customer. Beyond being detail oriented, this candidate should have a pleasant demeanor while taking customer orders over the phone, and when working closely with supply order processing teammates.
What You'll Do:
- Process orders received via email, phone, and in-person requests
- Maintain an expertise in the products, pricing, and compatibility of the supplies we order
- Ensure that all orders are timely and accurately entered into appropriate order tracking systems
- Monitor and transfer supplies as needed to ensure that orders can be fulfilled
- Support Accounts Payable department in processing and tracking purchase orders
- Track orders and ensure that they have been fulfilled once submitted
- Ensure that supply order pricing complies with any applicable fixed pricing agreements
- Offer cheerful and knowledgeable customer support over the phone
What You Have:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel experience in particular
- 1 years purchasing and/or order processing experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starting with a strong work ethic and ability to adapt easily
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently, quickly, and efficiently
