OVERVIEW
Under limited supervision, F & B Associate will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety, assist with maintaining stock of food items and bar supplies, collect money for drinks served, and cleaning the building facilities. Must have a flexible schedule. Schedule varies on nights, weekends, and holidays.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Provide a great customer experience by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Operate point of sale system and accurately enter orders and collect payments received from patrons and staff.
- Maintain the bar and surrounding areas organized by restocking alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, silverware, condiments, etc.
- Prepare and serve food, liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages as ordered.
- Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
- Use proper judgment and, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
- Assist with food preparation as assigned.
- Communicate and cooperate with other team members.
- Clean and maintain the building facilities which includes wiping tables and chairs, bussing dishes, stocking, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
- Willing to complete other duties as assigned.
- Uphold federal, state, and local alcohol serving, health, and safety regulations.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant.

- Ability to complete required trainings.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
- Ability to work inside and outside of facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or/ability required. - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certificate or degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Must be 21 years of age or older to serve and sell alcohol
- General experience working food and beverage a plus, but will train
- ServSafe training, will train
- Experience as a Bartender preferred
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION
No supervisory responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift/carry weights of up to twenty-five pounds.
