LER TechForce is seeking multiple skilled SolidWorks Designers to support upcoming engineering programs with a major client in the Metro Detroit area. These roles offer the opportunity to work on advanced engine and transmission projects within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Summary:
The SolidWorks Designers will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings focused on engine or transmission systems. The ideal candidates will bring strong SolidWorks expertise along with recent, hands-on experience supporting powertrain engineering programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify complex 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation for engine or transmission components.
Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to support design intent and program deliverables.
Ensure models and drawings meet internal standards, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
Participate in design reviews and implement corrective updates as needed.
Maintain version control and adherence to established CAD procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including recent professional experience.
Background in engine or transmission design (automotive or related industry).
Excellent 3D modeling, assembly, and detailing skills.
Ability to work onsite full-time in northern Metro Detroit.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to CREO and/or Siemens NX CAD tools.
Understanding of GD&T, powertrain systems, and manufacturing processes.
Experience working within a structured engineering environment or OEM/Tier 1 supplier.
