LER TechForce is seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer to manage and support global testing strategy and develop test standards and daily operations of all the components within traction business globally. This position would develop hardware and software needed for in-process verifications and end-of-line tests. This role will also perform machine troubleshooting and implementation of Test/Control upgrades. This role will support end-of-line Test and IPV applications, and will work closely with Test subject matter experts for continuous improvement of RFT, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Develops, maintains, and upgrades test equipment and architectures for application products.
- Analyzes test results to provide recommendation and guidance in root cause of test failure events.
- Understands end product specific functional test during assembly.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.
- Requires cross functional knowledge of product engineering, quality, manufacturing engineering, safety and facilities.
- Ensures all test procedures comply with safety standards.
- Ensures all test procedures comply with manufacturing standards.
- Data Mining - Extracts insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.
- Controls System Security - Develops and implements Controls System Security by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment to ensure our manufacturing controls and systems are secure.
- Sensor Technology and Measurement - Selects and applies the sensor technology, performing measurements in the acquired data that leads to the correct analysis and conclusion to help differentiate products that meet quality standards from non-conforming products.
- Test Control Systems - Designs, operates and optimizes test control systems used to obtain quality results to make data-driven decisions to ensure the product meets customer quality requirements.
- Problem Solving - Solves problems and may mentor others on effective problem solving by using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and ensures actions to prevent problem reoccurrence are implemented.
- Controls Networking - Implements new and improved technologies and methods capable of transferring information from multiple inputs either within a local production process or into databases to link machines together or to analyze the process for overall operation enhancements.
- Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
Essential
- College, university, or equivalent BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in related roles.
- Deep understanding of machine product interface
- Verification and EOL testing experience
- Experience troubleshooting, designing, and commissioning manufacturing test equipment
- Basic understanding of core electrical engineering concepts, programming skills, an understanding of CAN communications, flashing processes, etc. is required.
- Knowledge of test systems and tools like CANalyzer, NI Labview, AVL Puma/Lynx, Cyflex, and PLC is required
- Knowledge of database management is a plus (read, write, and troubleshoot SQL and MS Access).
- Electric vehicle component manufacturing experience is a plus.
