- Lead system architecture and author Interface Control Documents for automotive embedded electronics systems and platforms.
- Translate high-level product requirements into detailed system behavior specifications with end-to-end traceability.
- Drive the overall system plan across teams from concept through launch; ensure feature alignment to platform-level goals.
- Host design reviews and FMEAs; coordinate integration planning and test coverage validation (DVP&R).
- Lead system integration, testing, and calibration/tuning.
- Partner with embedded software, validation, hardware, product, quality, and service teams to develop robust, high-quality products.
- Mentor systems engineers, review work products, and manage change control.
- Lead root-cause analysis of field/service/manufacturing/design issues.
- Explore state-of-the-art feature functions, collaborate with suppliers/third-parties, and conduct make vs. buy analyses.
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of engineering experience with automotive embedded electronic systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex system integration projects.
- Strong Systems Engineering fundamentals - requirements, Interface Control Documents, FMEAs, traceability, test coverage.
- Effective cross-functional leadership; strong communication and coordination skills.
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with engine tuning, calibration tools, or dyno/vehicle testing.
- Familiarity with CAN, UDS, and other automotive communication protocols.
- Experience in automotive embedded electronic system architecture and modeling.
- Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engine fundamentals and Engine Management Systems.
