Cheese Production Supervisor

Within our Cheese Department team located in Allendale, Michigan, Leprino is seeking a Cheese Production Supervisor (nights) to elevate our cheese production operations to new heights of excellence! Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule daily staffing needs to optimize labor efficiency and meet production requirements.

• Lead and coach team members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring peak engagement and productivity.

• Reinforce company and plant policies consistently and fairly, responding to employee inquiries and concerns.

• Supervise daily cheese shift operations, ensuring production standards and quality parameters are met.

• Achieve targeted production volumes while minimizing downtime through proactive equipment maintenance.

• Implement and oversee plant safety programs to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.

• Lead safety investigations, corrective actions, and execute departmental quality systems to achieve quality goals.

• Monitor team operations and make recommendations for efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.

• Oversee the effectiveness of the sanitation program to ensure food safety standards are met.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with additional education substituting where applicable.

• 1 year of experience in leadership, mentoring, and/or delegating work.

• Proficient computer skills with familiarity or ability to learn SAP or other manufacturing systems.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• 5 years of dairy/cheese manufacturing experience.

• 2 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
