The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
DRS will be recruiting atTennessee Techthis Fall. Our on-campus recruiters will be looking for students majoring in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Systems Engineering.
DRS provides current students with the opportunity to contribute to technical projects and tasks in their area of interest/study from day one. Candidates will work with engineers on projects that have been pre-engineered to increase internal efficiency and/or technologies/capabilities adjacent to program needs.
Positions are available forintern/co-op roles.
Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
- Work independently on daily tasks
- Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation
- Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Opportunities exist for candidates in the following areas:
Test Program Set Development, Embedded Diagnostics, Electrical/Electronic Design, Test, and Integration, Windows, Linux application development, Embedded Programming, Software Engineering and Architecture, and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation and Test.
- Junior/Senior level college student majoring in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Systems Engineering with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Candidate should upload a resume to the Career section of the DRS Web site.
- Novice technical expertise and beginning familiarity with the shop/laboratory and equipment
- Intern Positions - Work 15 to 20 hours per week part-time while attending school, or full-time during Summer.
- Co-op Positions - willing to work a total of three full time semesters: alternating with full time school semesters
