Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Senior Material Handler to join our supportive and collaborative team in Melbourne, FL. The ideal candidate will thrive working both under supervision and independently, demonstrating versatility, reliability, and a strong commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting production, packaging, and shipping operations, with significant opportunities for growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
• Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
• Maintain system critical data elements.
• May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping.
• Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement.
• Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device.
• Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system.
• Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information.
• Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity as well as work independently.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum two years' hands‑on experience in a related role
• Experience with logistics software preferred
• 1 years forklift experience and forklift certification is a plus
  
  

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
