Job Responsibilities
- Interprets, trains associates on and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to safety, DOT, record keeping.
- Supervises compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech’
- Regularly audits areas such as driver logs, record keeping, and driver work practices, equipment conditions, are in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of company operations, policies and procedures.
- Provides support, advice and guidance to drivers and monitors in responding to a variety of issues.
- Conducts monthly safety meetings with driving staff to ensure that safety related information is priority #1 within our operation.
- Conducts initial defensive driving training for all drivers. Investigating and challenging errors as appropriate by utilizing resources.
- Hires, trains, and retains delivery drivers.
- Partners with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure preventative maintenance is completed on time for assigned equipment.
- Assists with deliveries when work load requires.
- Partners with the Delivery Manager to ensure department hits departmental performance, productivity, and expense management goals.
- Ensures drivers complete all sales documentation in a timely manner and accurately.

Competencies (skills, Knowledge, And Abilities)
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related field, with previous supervisory or leadership experience.
This position requires approximately 80% travel within the region.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
