Leonard’s Syrups is a family owned and operated business that employs over one hundred employees. We have been in business since 1964, starting with manufacturing Soda syrups and continuing to grow the company by adding services which are related to this core competency. These other services include installing and Servicing bar equipment, servicing the soda systems, and supporting our customers with CO2 to use for their systems.
Job Overview
As an Installation and Service Technician specializing in soda, beer, CO2, and ice machines, nitro serve systems, etc. you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage and ice equipment at client locations. You will ensure that installations are completed efficiently and that machines are operating effectively to meet client expectations. Additionally, you will provide ongoing technical service and troubleshooting to address any technical issues that arise.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Install, set up, and configure or remove soda dispensers, beer taps, CO2 systems, and ice machines at client locations.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess installation requirements and plan equipment placement for optimal functionality.
- Test and audit for proper functionality of installed equipment, ensuring it meets quality standards and client specifications.
- Provide training to clients and their staff on the use, cleaning, and maintenance of beverage and ice machines.
- Respond promptly to service calls and requests for technical support, diagnosing and resolving equipment issues both remotely and on-site.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, sanitizing, and adjusting equipment settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with parts crib management to order replacement parts or schedule repairs as needed.
- Maintain on-vehicle parts inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, equipment installations, and customer interactions by using a company provided tablet.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with beverage and ice equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in related fields preferred but not required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls and installations simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel to client sites will be required regularly.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
- Physical stamina and ability to team lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor as needed (50 lbs.).
- Commitment to upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards when working with beverage and ice equipment, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Must be able to pass Department of Transportation physical and/or have valid DOT Medical Card.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to handle working in extreme temperatures, high noise levels, confined spaces, etc.
- Ability to learn on the job skills and show up with a great attitude every day.
