Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide on-site leadership while actively contributing to all phases of commercial concrete construction, including slab-on-grade, elevated decks, slab-on-deck systems, placing, finishing, and reinforcing installation.
- Direct cast-in-place wall construction from formwork through final placement, ensuring strict adherence to project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Champion job site safety by enforcing established protocols and working closely with the Field Superintendent and all on-site trade partners.
- Guide and coordinate crew activities during concrete placements to ensure proper execution, efficiency, and high-quality results.
- Oversee equipment utilization, including pump truck coordination and material delivery scheduling, to support seamless field operations.
- Confirm and maintain accurate grades and elevations using layout tools, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Take ownership of additional field responsibilities as needed to support overall project success.
- Perform related job duties as needed.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial concrete construction, including demonstrated responsibility for leading crews and overseeing field operations
- Current OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Can safely lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, stairs, and climb out of ditches
- Must wear proper protective equipment at all times
- Proven background in concrete placement and finishing, with the ability to support hands-on work when required
- Ability to interpret blueprints and layout information
- Experience with concrete tools and finishing equipment
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Knowledge of pour sequencing and quality control
- Leadership and crew management skills
