In this role, you will support real-time space operations and orbital intelligence, contributing directly to launch tracking, orbit determination, and customer-facing mission support.  This is a hands-on, operations-focused position offering exposure to cutting-edge radar systems, orbital analytics, and live mission environments. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and operators to improve tooling, workflows, and operational efficiency while supporting critical customer missions.  What You’ll Do ·       Provide operational support for Launch and Early Operations (LEOP) products during orbital launches ·       Perform manual Orbit Determination (OD) tasks, including filter tuning and tracking data validation ·       Monitor and maintain orbit quality using internal tools and Python-based workflows ·       Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to time-sensitive operational events ·       Triage and respond to customer inquiries related to orbit data, launch tracking, and catalog accuracy ·       Contribute to the development, testing, and documentation of internal tools and operational workflows ·       Identify repetitive operational tasks and help design and implement automation strategies to improve reliability and efficiency  What You Bring ·       Bachelor’s degree in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field ·       Foundational knowledge of orbital mechanics and space operations ·       Experience using Python, MATLAB, Julia, or similar scientific scripting tools ·       Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills ·       Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive, operational environments  Preferred Qualifications: ·       Experience with tools and technologies such aspandas, NumPy, matplotlib, SQL, Git, Docker, Unix/Linux ·       Familiarity with Orbit Determination tools(e.g., AGI ODTK or similar) ·       Exposure to automation, data pipelines, or operational analytics  What You’ll Achieve ·       Within 1 month: Complete onboarding, gain familiarity with LeoLabs systems, and begin shadowing live operations ·       Within 3 months: Actively support LEOP missions, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to technical projects ·       Within 6 months: Deliver improvements to internal tooling or workflows and present project outcomes to the team ·       Within 12 months: Proactively identify operational gaps, propose improvements, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives  Perks and Benefits·      Global workforce: flexible remote/hybrid opportunities·      Work on complex, meaningful missions with real-world impact·      Unlimited paid time off for most roles·      Competitive salary and equity packages·      Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage·      Access to the forefront of commercial space operations and defense innovationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
