Key Responsibilities & Duties
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning equipment, including HAAS 3-axis mills and Samsung CNC lathe with live tooling
Write, read, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mastercam and/or directly at the machine control
Perform machine setup including aligning, securing, and adjusting cutting tools for each job
Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy
Conduct in-process and final inspection of machined parts to verify conformance to specifications
Troubleshoot machining issues including tooling, fixturing, feeds, speeds, and program errors
Operate the Patriot bar feeder system in conjunction with lathe operations
Manage production runs across low-to-medium volume and one-off custom part jobs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with shop safety standards
Provide leadership guidance and support to junior machinists as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training in machining or manufacturing preferred
Minimum 2 years of hands-on machine shop experience
Proficiency in Mastercam CAM software and/or conversational/G-code programming directly at the machine
Experience operating HAAS vertical machining centers (3-axis mills)
Experience with CNC lathe operation; live tooling experience a plus
Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints and technical drawings
Strong understanding of tooling selection, speeds and feeds, work-holding, and fixturing
Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part tolerances
Safety-conscious with a consistent record of maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area
Leadership qualities and willingness to mentor or guide other team members a plus
Full time Hours: 6AM-230PM M-F
