Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager , the Technical Production Manager leads the Loveland Technician staff and ensures operational excellence in alignment with Hach’s business objectives. This position manages Production and Machine Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The compensation range for this role is $96550 - $118000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

- Leading and developing the Technician team to support plant priorities and deliver operational targets.
- Implementing and maintaining a Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) system for production assets to achieve best-in-class OEE performance.
- Uploading and managing equipment data in maintenance tracking systems for both preventive and emergency repairs.
- Supporting capital equipment investments—from opportunity identification to installation and lifecycle maintenance.
- Driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity through Lean and VES methodologies.
- Partnering with Operations and Engineering teams to resolve production and quality issues.
- Prioritizing improvement projects that enhance safety culture and associate engagement.
- Hiring, training, and developing technical staff, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- 5 years of leadership experience in product development, engineering, or manufacturing.
- Experience in diverse manufacturing processes, including instrument assembly, CNC machining, injection molding, and circuit board production.
- Strong understanding of production systems, capital project management, and TPM practices.
- Proven ability to analyze production data and implement improvement plans for scrap, yield, and cycle time.
- Proficiency with ERP and business tools (Excel, Word, project management software).
- Demonstrated problem-solving, team leadership, and communication skills.
- Frequent standing, sitting, and use of hands for tools and computer input.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 20 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments with moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and moderate noise.
- Must wear appropriate PPE (eye, hearing, or respiratory protection, gloves, steel-toe shoes, etc.).
