Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. System Admin to join their clients team. This client is in the process of building out their own Data Center.
This candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They participate in advanced research and development to continuously improve the overall health, operations, and security of all computers and servers.
Position Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of core server and network infrastructures.
Design, implement, and optimize Azure cloud services.
Design, assess, and implement system upgrades, integrating new applications and configuring hardware and network devices.
Monitor system performance, diagnose root causes of issues, and ensure optimal functionality.
Maintain documentation for all systems and procedures.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing upgrades or new IT infrastructure services.
Perform system backups and recovery, including planning and testing disaster recovery solutions.
Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
Manage certificate lifecycle management processes for web servers and secure communication channels.
Provide support to users and collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues.
Responsible for the design and capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
Lead or support technical projects, managing resources, timelines, and deliverables.
Collaborate with teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Provide mentorship, day-to-day direction and guidance to junior administrators and team members.
Manage vendor relationships for technology needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills And Requirements
- Bachelors degree in information technology or a closely related field, or equivalent system administration experience required.
- 5 years of experience in a senior systems administration role in complex environments.
- Strong experience with virtualization platforms (Azure and Hyper-V).
- Strong Azure experience, Azure Migration, Azure Administration, Azure Services knowledge, etc. - Sophos is nice to have for certs
- Sophos nice to have
- Veeam
- Data Center Experience (ideally they have this though)
- Security Experience - understands how to apply security to servers - understands security principals null
