Responsibilities
- Design, generate, and engineer antibody DNA constructs using core molecular biology techniques
- Perform PCR, plasmid preparation, cloning, mutagenesis, and sequence analysis to support antibody generation workflows
- Express recombinant antibodies and evaluate performance using ELISA and related protein immunoassays
- Assess antibody function, binding, and developability, focusing on performance-driven evaluation rather than purely descriptive characterization
- Support antibody optimization efforts across multiple formats (e.g., monoclonal, bispecific)
- Interpret experimental data within the context of antibody discovery and early drug development goals
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional discovery scientists to advance antibody programs
- Document experimental methods, results, and conclusions in accordance with internal research standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science with 2–5 years of relevant experience OR; Master’s degree in a life science with 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Strong, hands-on experience in molecular biology–driven antibody engineering, including: PCR, Plasmid DNA preparation, Molecular cloning and mutagenesis, Sequence analysis
- Proven experience performing and interpreting ELISA and protein immunoassays for antibody evaluation
- Experience with plasmid and sequence analysis software (e.g., SnapGene) and data analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel)
- Demonstrated understanding of how antibody engineering work fits into the broader drug discovery and development lifecycle
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced research environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
