We are recruiting for a biotechnology company seeking a Senior Scientist to join its antibody development team in Gaithersburg. This is a hands-on laboratory role for an accomplished scientist who can lead antibody discovery programs, guide experimental strategy, and help advance next-generation platform capabilities.
The Senior Scientist will work closely with scientific leadership and cross-functional research teams while remaining actively involved at the bench.

Responsibilities
- Lead antibody discovery and development programs using hybridoma, immunization, and vaccine-based approaches
- Design immunogens and develop effective immunization strategies
- Plan and execute studies involving target characterization, antibody-antigen interactions, and candidate selection
- Apply sequence, structural, and protein biochemistry data to guide experimental decisions
- Evaluate antibody candidates through biochemical and functional characterization
- Identify opportunities to improve and expand existing discovery platforms
- Provide scientific direction across projects and communicate findings to senior leadership
- Collaborate with research partners across multiple scientific disciplines
- Master’s degree or PhD in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, protein science, or a related discipline
- Strong hands-on laboratory background in antibody discovery or development
- Expertise with hybridoma technology, vaccine development, immunogen design, or related antibody platforms
- Demonstrated success leading experimental programs and advancing new scientific approaches
- Ability and willingness to perform bench-level research
- Experience from biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or academic research environments will be considered
- Knowledge of protein biochemistry, molecular modeling, sequence analysis, or structural biology is preferred
