Preferred Background
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Migrations from SQL Servers and databases from 14, 16, 19 and 2022 versions
- Troubleshooting database crashes and application slowness, rebuilding databases following an incident, and managing resource utilization
- Experience with using indexes to increase database query performance
- Experience consulting with users, programmers, and application vendors to identify needs, system capability, and determining requirements for database formats and application specifications
- Experience working with MS SQL Servers in a VMware virtual server environment including the use of server snapshots
- Experience creating and restoring SQL backups through Microsoft SQL Management Studio and CommVault backups
- Experience with migrating SSIS and SSRS packages to 2019
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications desirable
- Experience with installing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading MySQL instances
