A client of Insight Global is looking for a Jr-Level Remote Cloud Engineer to join their team supporting a federal client. We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to assist AWS-native migration efforts across cloud environments. This role involves designing architectures, resolving differences in networking, IAM, monitoring stacks, and system agents, and building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation. The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, application, and business teams to align migration impacts and facilitate technical workshops. Experience with Terraform and DevSecOps tools is essential, along with thorough documentation of system architecture, IAM roles, and logging configurations. Strong communication and stakeholder management are key.
Compensation: $42/hr. -- 49/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills And Requirements
- 2 years of experience with within DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or solutions architecting
- Hands on experience with cloud-to-cloud migrations (focus on AWS)
- Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform for IaC
- Utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions for CI/CD buildouts
- Excellent communication and documentation skills - Experience supporting CMS or HHS contracts
- AWS Certifications
- Exposure to enterprise-scale CI/CD environments and DevSecOps best practice
