What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI Clearance) position at Your Remote Tech Recruiter?
Your Remote Tech Recruiter is exclusively engaged with a US-based Tech Consultancy who are looking to hire multiple Cloud Engineers into their scaling Infrastructure Ops team. Their primary base of operations is Virginia, with these roles being focused around Herndon and Tysons to be exact.
The organisation in question are boutique (>50 employees), and primarily deliver projects into the DoD focused around key areas such as Cloud (AWS), Cyber Security, Data and Networking.
Due to the Top Secret nature of their work, I can't share too much detail around the day-to-day in this advert (for obvious reasons!), but they would prefer applicants with TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly or FSP is the preference due to project demand).
In terms of 'role levels', they're hiring across mid-level and senior (most of the FSP demand is for Senior Cloud Engineers) and due to the size of the organisation and the fact they're growing, opportunities for fast-tracked career development are there for those who want it.
If you're interested in applying, please ensure your resume details some (not necessarily all) of the following:
- Ideally a Degree in Computer Science, or something similar - i.e. Information Systems, Software Engineering etc.
- Proven commercial experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience working with CI/CD tools - Jenkins, GitLab etc.
- Experience using container technology (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) and Linux-based operating systems
- Familiarity with CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (preferably Scrum)
- Existing SC clearance - preferably TS/SCI CI Poly or TS/SCI FSP
