Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization specializing in meat processing and USDA standards, is seeking a Plant Manager to join their team. As a Plant Manager, you will be part of the Operations department supporting plant leadership and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
What's the Job?
- Lead and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met
- Collaborate with department managers to plan and execute production schedules in compliance with USDA standards
- Manage a team of approximately 200-250 employees, including direct supervision of four managers
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and data analysis to optimize efficiency
- Ensure all safety protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements are strictly followed across the facility
- 6-8 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably with USDA or meat processing background
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing large teams
- Proficiency in ERP, MRP, and data analysis tools such as Power BI
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Competitive salary range up to $150,000 based on experience
