Job Title: MIG Welder Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled aluminum and stainless MIG and TIG production welders. The role is based in the finished product area for specific customers, and candidates with metal finishing experience are particularly desirable. Applicants must be open to training in other areas of the shop, including operating various machines. This position requires experienced welders capable of handling both thin and thick materials, setting their welding machines, and interpreting blueprints and fit-ups.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aluminum and stainless MIG and TIG welding on production lines.
  • Work in the finished product area, ensuring high-quality metal finishing.
  • Train and operate various machines across the shop floor.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and fit-up plans.
  • Set and adjust welding machines for different materials.
  • Weld thin and thick materials as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG welding, particularly with 3/16th and 11-18 gauge materials.
  • Experience with welding procedures and weld symbols.
  • Ability to weld both aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and fit-up processes.
  • Knowledge of metal inert gas and carbon steel welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience with TIG welding is a plus.
  • Familiarity with metal finishing and grinding techniques.
  • Experience in pipe welding and fabrication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.45/hr.
