Maintenance Electrician

Job Description
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems of 480V and below. You will work with various electrical components and systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including 480V, 277V, 240V, and 120V systems.
- Diagnose and repair motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, breakers, and control panels.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and verify zero-energy states.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, focusing on I/O, power supplies, and communication issues.
- Identify faults in control logic and collaborate with engineering and controls teams.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in chemical or process manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC-5, SLC 500) or Siemens preferred.
- Skilled with testing equipment such as multimeters, meggers, and clamp meters.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade schooling is a plus.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC maintenance, and field service.
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
