Job Summary
As the IT Help Desk Technician, you will collaborate with our Network and System Administrators to provide technical support to the agency. You will serve as the first point of contact for IT inquiries, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, and provide support over the phone, via email, or in-person.
What You Will Do
- Respond to staff inquiries via phone, email, in person, virtually or electronic system in a timely & professional manner.
- Diagnose & resolve hardware, software & network issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
- Ensures cases are logged, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Install, configure & maintain operating systems & applications (Windows, Office365 etc).
- Manage user accounts, permissions & access rights in Active Directory & other systems.
- Document support interactions, solutions, policies & procedures per IT requirements.
- Assist with onboarding & offboarding processes, including device set up & account provisioning.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, network backups, submit and keep track of vendor invoices.
- Provide orientation, guidance & training to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
- Maintain the latest security patches are installed & the latest software is updated.
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Administration or related technical field, from an accredited college
- 2-3 years of experience required
- COMPTIA A Certification required
- COMPTIA Network Certification preferred
